MTI Financial Advisors, Inc. (MTI), a Twin Cities registered investment advisory firm, just completed their twentieth year in business. MTI was started in May of 1988 with two partners, Douglas Morey and Salah Tarraf. They were originally formed under the name of Morey Tarraf Investment Company. When Doug Morey took control of the company in 1990, the name was shortened to MTI Financial Adviors, Inc.
MTI Currently has approximately $150 million invested through them and has five advisors. MTI's advisor associates are: Douglas Morey who is still the principal of the firm; along with Mark Engblom, who joined MTI in 1991; Jennifer Fogg who also joined in 1991; Jim Bayliss joined the firm in 2001 and Jeff Nordeen joined them in 2004. MTI has a full range of clients that include individuals, corporations, retirement plans, pensions, foundations and trusts. Although the bulk of their clients live in Minnesota they have clients that live around the country and accross the globe ranging from Florida to California and even in out of the way places like Ghana, West Africa. They currently have a minimum investement of $250,000 for new clients.
