Jessica Borden
Jessica Borden is a self proclaimed East-Coaster at heart. Born and raised in north eastern Pennsylvania, she knew she wanted to be an actress at early age. In 1999, she was named to the Pennsylvania All State Cast for her role as 'Jo' in 'Little Women' and received state wide honor for her role as 'Ophelia' in William Shakespeare's 'Hamlet.' Jessica attended Syracuse University where she continued her formal training and graduated with a B.F.A in Acting.
While at Syracuse, Jessica fine tuned her skills with her performance M. Butterfly at the Equity Theater, Syracuse Stage, which later opened more doors of opportunity. Jessica was offered the chance to study at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, England where she immersed herself in classical and Shakespearean text and voice work. While in London, she played the role of Lady Anne in 'Richard III', which she still considers as one of her favorite and cherished accomplishments to this day. Jessica regards her education, specifically her experience in London, as the ground work for her training and passion for acting.
Upon her return to the US, she spent a few months in Massachusetts performing the role of 'Juliet' in 'Romeo and Juliet' at Boston's Orpheum Theatre. Soon after, she moved to Los Angeles with her focus on expanding into films and television. Since then, she has switched gears to highlight her sketch and comedy skills, which landed her the role in Comedy Central's 2007 TV movie 'Ving Break,' as well as her comedic role in the pilot episode of "Jack." She worked on the films "I Dare You," "The Sunday Man," and just completed her Supporting role in the feature film "Street Boss," starring Nicholas Turturro and Vincent Pastore, set for release in the spring of 2009. She was recently attached to the feature film "Unseen Shadows" for the role of 'Maggie’. Jessica is constantly working on self-generated projects and is passionate about her career as an Actress.
