U.S. Girl Scout Troop visits Paris;
Adopts New York ex-pat to be best friend & guide
A Girl Scout troop from High Point, North Carolina of eight girls 15-20, plus their scout leaders, is visiting Paris for the first time June 23 & 24th, 2008. They have adopted tour expert and ex-New Yorker Richard Nahem from Eye Prefer Paris Tours to be their best friend in Paris and show them the sites. Richard will show them the real Paris, not the usual tourist sites.

Itinerary: Day 1-June 23-Richard and the girls will tour the Marais, one of the most historic districts in Paris – not to mention some of the best shopping. They will visit chic Paris fashion boutiques, taste top pastry and chocolate shops, explore beautiful parks and a hidden rose garden, and discover historic mansions and palaces from the 1600s.
Day 2- June 24 - Richard and the girls will go to the outdoor fresh food market at Blvd. Richard Lenoir near the Bastille and shop for a picnic lunch. They will explore the Promenade Plantee, a lush park built on an abandoned railroad track high above the city while enjoying their delicious fresh food from the market. Afterwards they will visit the Viaduct des arts, a series of large, dramatic, brick archways housing design& craft shops and cafes.
