FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Jun 16, 2008 – (WORCESTER, Mass.) Francis Harvey & Sons wants you to enjoy the home you live in and help those who aren’t as fortunate. The local design/build firm will contribute 100% of proceeds earned from an upcoming kitchen design workshop to the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance—an organization dedicated to preventing homelessness and providing affordable homeownership and services for elderly homeowners.
“As a business, we provide services to homeowners, but as community members we want to provide aide to those who don’t have a place to call their own,” says Sheila Fitzgerald, Marketing Director of FH&S. According to the CMHA, there are an estimated 3,000 persons in families with children living in doubled up housing situations because they lack a home of their own. On any given night 599 homeless individuals are staying in emergency shelter or transition housing programs. “The CMHA provides an invaluable service to the community,” says Fitzgerald. “That’s why we decided to donate the proceeds from our ‘Design Your Dream Kitchen’ workshop to them. Our goals are to get high workshop attendance, provide useful information for participants, and ultimately help those who need a little boost in making their dreams of having a home a reality.” Donations to CMHA can be made online at www.cmhaonline.org. The “Design Your Dream Kitchen” workshop will take place Wednesday, June 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will be held at the Francis Harvey & Sons’ Selections Center located at 238 Shrewsbury Street.
