Brian Jones has set up his IDX feed to offer five different search options. Consumers can search by address, by listing number, with an interactive map search, with a basic search and with an advanced search that allows them to select anything from price to basement style. This wide variety of search options will benefit both Jones and his customers as this efficient method of providing information saves a good deal of time.
IDX Broker works by using the Internet Data Exchange (IDX) process to take the raw property listings data from the MTOMLS and then formatting it to fit into and look like the agent’s chosen Webpage. Once the search form is set up, Brian Jones has access to his own administrative page where he can adjust the style, change what criteria is displayed, add tools such as mortgage calculators and slide shows and even track the traffic statistics.
