Carlson Wireless announces the rollout of the Trailblazer Hybrid™, a point-to-point digital radio providing simultaneous POTS, leased lines and Ethernet data for voice and telemetry applications. The radio operates in the 2.4, 5.4, 5.8 and 4.9 GHz frequency bands and provides perfect wireline quality service beyond existing phone lines. The Hybrid™ will compliment Carlson Wireless’ existing Trailblazer™
Trailblazer™
The Hybrid™ allows the user to transmit both analog and digital signaling for compatibility and interoperability today and seamless migration to IP in the future.
“Many of our electrical utility and oil and gas company clients have been asking for this type of product and in the past we would accommodate them with custom equipment” said Rob Escher, Director of Sales at Carlson. “They use 4-wire E&M signaling for remote monitoring and control of equipment and have a real need for basic telephone connection, especially in places where there is little or no cell phone coverage. We see a lot of these systems used for electrical substation isolation where the Hybrid™ takes the physical phone and data lines out of the picture, eliminating the danger of ground potential rise from that source.”
“Our customers have responded in a very positive way to the rollout of this product,” said Chris Spoerle, Director of Customer Service. “They have been requesting a wireless communication system that can take care of their voice and telemetry needs right out of the box, and we are glad to be able to provide them with the Hybrid™. Some of our customers are amazed that they can still get a V.35 interface as an option.”
