International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Hold Inaugural Meeting on June 18 in Delhi

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jun 16, 2008 – POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Outsourcing professionals in India have joined forces to form a new chapter of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) in Delhi, India.

The new chapter will kick off with an inaugural meeting featuring speakers from Ameriprise Financial, Wipro and ValueNotes. The meeting will be held June 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., at B-1/G-3, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, Mathura Road in New Delhi.

The meeting also will provide information on the association’s Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) Master Class, an intensive learning experience designed for professionals seeking to obtain the prestigious COP designation, the globally recognized standard of excellence for individuals that have mastered the end-to-end process of outsourcing.

Kunoor Chopra, chief executive officer and president of LawScribe, Inc., is chair of the Delhi chapter. The event is sponsored and hosted by VCustomer India.

The Delhi chapter will be the association’s sixth in the Asia-Pacific region and follows this month’s formation of one in Beijing. IAOP also has chapters in Australia, Malaysia, East China (Shanghai City) and the Philippines.

“Outsourcing is accelerating across Asia,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “IAOP's programs, including its ever-expanding chapter network, are a great opportunity for professionals to share their expertise, establish themselves as thought leaders, and join together to advance and advocate for the profession and for the industry.”

IAOP chapters are designed to bring outsourcing professionals together in the same geographic area or with similar industry or topical interests to network, share best practices, exchange ideas and advance the industry. The association currently has more than 40 chapters.

The Delhi chapter event is free and open to users, advisors and providers of outsourcing services who are individual or corporate members of IAOP or their guests.

To register for the meeting, e-mail IAOP's chapter coordinator at: amanda.corbett@outsourcingprofessional.org.
