Not just one medium is used in art. There are many different forms, and this year, Canandaigua hosts their Summer Art Walk, capturing several different kinds of forms. Patience Brewster, known for her works on books, greeting cards, and ornaments, offers a different side of her amazing drawings this year at Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame. Kerry Bogert, a glass bead artist, will be on hand at Joolz showing off her latest pieces.
If that’s not enough to entice people, there’s more. Members from Plein Air, known for their outdoor paintings and workshops, are scheduled to appear at Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery. There’s also upcoming watercolorist Karen Miller from Rochester at Wick-edly Sent, and new members to the Canandaigua Arts, Nancy Wiley, whose dolls work appeared on the cover of George Magazine.
"Canandaigua Arts have really taken off," Aimee Ward says, from Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame. "There’s more members, more artists, and much more to see than ever before." This year’s Summer Art Walk has record breaking members, including new shops, galleries, and boutiques. The art forms may vary, but no one can dispute the originality and creative appeal that the featured artists bring.
Canandaigua Summer Art Walk is Friday June 27th from 2-9 pm. Galleries and shops participating will be noted by balloons. It is free to the public and some refreshments will be served. For a list of participating merchants, visit: http://www.canandaiguaarts.com/
