Cain Declines Nomination for Vice President

Geoff Cain says "no" to Obama and will not run on the democratic ticket for vice president.

June 15, 2008 - PRLog -- Geoff Cain will not run for Vice-President of the United States this year. Citing professional and family commitments, Cain's schedule will not allow him to take the time necessary to devote himself to the campaign. "Obama has my full support" says Cain, "and as soon as I have a minute, the bumper sticker is going on my car."  While he won't run for office, Cain has expressed interest in a cabinet post in Education or in the diplomatic corps as ambassador to a small European city-state like San Marino or the Vatican City. "France is not out of the question. I think their education system has improved enough over the years so I won't have to spend a lot of time learning French." The Obama camp has not called yet, but Cain is expecting the call at any moment. "Every four years its the same thing. I hate answering the phone during election years." Cain believes  that the wide-spread news of his unavailability has spared him much embarrassment. Cain comes from a long line of people who have not run for office. His father, for instance, did not seek a first term as Vice-President under the Kennedy administration.
