Minister, Magician, and... POET!

If you enjoy looking at the meaningful things of life through the eyes of a poet, this is the book for you. Once you pick it up, you will find it hard to put down. Few writers can be called students of people, Mowry is that rare exception.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jun 14, 2008 – The Villages, Florida

If you enjoy looking at the meaningful things of life through the eyes of a poet, this is the book for you.  Once you pick it up and begin reading, you will find it hard to put down.

Richard B. Mowry, recognized for his unusual ability to see beneath the surface of everyday living, has been published in several publications.  A former graduate of both Grove City College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, he served as a Presbyterian pastor for nearly forty years.  After raising a family with his wife, Barbara, he began expressing the thoughts that had been fueled by decades of public service through the vehicle of poetry.

His newest title, SEASONS OF HIS HANDIWORK, largely reflects the style of Robert Frost and reflects thoughts of rural America written in a traditional verse with rhyme and meter (usually with seven beats per line).  Like Frost, most of these projects are portraits of nature, but beyond the obvious meaning lies a deeper ethereal message.  This is a subtle way of presenting spiritual and philosophical truth without the sermon.  At the same time, he is able to paint a picture of the wonder of God’s creation as seen through the eyes of this author.
