“An important part of being a caring, conscientious, responsible and loving pet owner is knowing the life-saving skills of pet first aid and care,” states Kandra. Some of the topics included in the eight-hour class she now offers include: CPR, rescue breathing, shock management, choking, bleeding protocols, injury and wellness assessments, heat injuries, cold injuries and pet care. The PetSaver program also teaches pet owners the many aspects of pet dental care. In addition, age-related health topics are covered for owners of pets age seven years or over.
“Now pet owners and pet care professionals can learn pet first aid and care and give their pets the best care available,” Kandra adds.
Classes are forming now and will be available in either one eight-hour session or two four-hour sessions; schedules are posted on www.everythingpet.net. Classes can also be scheduled by calling (877) 311-PETS. The cost to attend a PetSaver class is $99.00.
