Rather than streaming just images back to a control room which involves cabling back to a monitoring pc or server, the JetCam Fox-i sends ANPR information using a fast wireless connection. As long as power is available at the camera location, up to a thousand cameras can be installed and wirelessly connected to a control room. This eliminates the need to use a rugged roadside pc at the camera location.
Applications for JetCam Fox-i include Journey Time and Traffic Monitoring systems, remote site entrances and difficult to reach locations. On sites where there are entrances located at a large distance from the central control room, JetCam Fox-i eliminates the need for expensive cabling in order to set up a networked pc. JetCam Fox-i also increases the number of cameras that can be linked to the processing pc as no cables need to be physically attached.
