The StorageLoader LTO is available with a choice of LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3 and LTO-4 Half-Height drives offering compressed storage capacities up to 12.8TB, transfer rates up to 576GB/hr and is available with LVD SCSI or SAS connectivity.
The introduction of LTO-4 HH within the StorageLoader LTO doubles the storage capacity and the increased performance reduces backup and restore times. The introduction of LTO-4 HH also offers customers hardware encryption, using the 256 bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). This offers users the highest level of encryption capability ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance.
The LTO WORM (Write Once, Read Many) functionality will help users to meet further regulatory compliance requirements. The new LTO-4 half height tape drive provides a native capacity of 800GB (1.6TB compressed) and native transfer speeds of 80MB per second (160MB/sec compressed). High capacity drives reduce storage costs by requiring fewer data cartridges to complete backups. The increased capacity and speed shortens the time needed for backup and restore processes – a key benefit for companies with increasing data storage requirements and shrinking backup windows. The LTO-4 HH drive is available with either LVD SCSI or 3Gb/sec SAS interfaces, making it ideal for small and medium businesses and departmental users.
The LTO-4 HH Tape Drive is fully read and write compatible with all third-generation Ultrium media and backward-read compatibility with second-generation Ultrium media.
