M*A*S*H’s Gary Burghoff (“Radar”) Guests on Animal Radio®

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 12, 2008 – Actor and artist Gary Burghoff, who played Radar O’Reilly on the hit TV series M*A*S*H, is guest-hosting this weekend’s AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio broadcast of Animal Radio®. This is Burghoff’s second-time on the syndicated pet show.

Burghoff tells hosts Hal Abrams and Judy Francis that the ‘animal-loving’ character he played on M*A*S*H was written into the script after producer Larry Gelbart visited his house and saw that he rescued animals in ‘real-life.’

“I’ve always had a sensitivity towards nature,” say Burgoff, “as a child, I remember kidnapping our caged-geese and putting them in my neighbor’s pond - much to the consternation of my parents and certainly the family farmer.”
