Jun 12, 2008 – Hong Kong-based YesAsia.com, the world's leading Internet source of Asian Entertainment products, has been recognized as a "Caring Company 2007/2008" by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. The award is given to companies that demonstrate good corporate citizenship during 2007 and 2008.
The Caring Company Award is given yearly to qualifying organizations in Hong Kong. Companies recognized for the award demonstrate good corporate citizenship by volunteering their time to the community, providing a good working environment, employing vulnerable persons in their organizations, caring for the environment, sharing business expertise with non-profit organizations, and donating to needy causes or non-profit organizations. The first Caring Company Awards were given in 2002.
Over the past year, YesAsia.com has demonstrated its commitment to caring by providing for employee welfare through increased benefits, recruiting new employees through The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, launching an office environmental protection program, and encouraging employees to make monetary donations to the community. The 2007/2008 Caring Award is the first such honor for YesAsia.com.
