School Teacher Opens Fundamental Preschool Academy
Newly opened Fundamental Preschool Academy located at 3697 Highway 5 Suite 11~Douglasville, Ga 30135 ~770-949-3220 provides quality learning for ages six weeks to Pre-Kindergarten. They open early from 6:00am-6:30pm providing transportation to and from local schools, exciting summer programs and provides tutorial services for school age children ages 5-12 years. They truly care about making a difference in their community and partners with neighborhood businesses to provide a network of resources for the center.
The founder Jamila James a dedicated educator, mother and wife was born in California and ventured to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Clark Atlanta University. While attending college she worked at a neighborhood childcare program and volunteered in her school community gaining experience and skills she still uses in her classroom today. James later earned her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education continuing to touch the lives of over 300 students within the last 12 years.
James decided to open the academy after discovering that many students in the Georgia School Systems were coming to school unprepared. With a desire to become a "change agent", James opened Fundamental Preschool (an in-home preschool) in 2005 and ventured towards establishing a larger venue to reach more children in 2008. Fundamental Preschool Academy will partner with parents to help their children to become expressive, confident, curious, cooperative, competent, independent and engaged learners. Fundamental Preschool Academy is designed to provide our future leaders with the necessary skills to perform at the top of their class.
