Miss Hooters Australia 2008 Crowned! And It’s Not Who You Think….

Hooters Australia today confirmed Emma Caminiti from Hooters Parramatta will be representing Australia in the 12th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Florida this July.

Caminiti, 20 from the Blue Mountains was crowned last Thursday night (5 June) at the annual beauty and bikini Hooters Honey Contest 2008 Grand Final, having competed in front of a 250 strong crowd at Hooters Parramatta.  Over twenty Hooters Girls competed in the three Hooters Honey Contest rounds held at Hooters Mermaid Beach, Hooters Cronulla and Hooters Parramatta, all of whom were vying to win the Miss Hooters Australia 2008 crown and the chance to represent Australia in the international pageant.  Natalye Cole of Hooters Mermaid Beach was crowned Miss Hooters Queensland 2008.

Described by judges as having a “vivacious character and versatility” Caminiti charmed the judging panel with her on “stage presence, confident answers and great presentation” in all heats.  The Hooters Honey Contest judging panel consisted of representatives from Zoo Weekly, Ralph Magazine and Universal Magazines.  The Hooters Honey Contest 2008 featured the Hooters Girl uniform, evening wear and bikini rounds as well as a charity auction with proceeds raised benefiting The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Caminiti will join more than 115 Hooters Girls from over 20 countries around the world competing for the Miss Hooters International title and over USD $150,000 in cash and prizes, including their place in the annual swimsuit calendar.  The 12th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant will be held at the Broward Center for Performing Arts in Hollywood, Florida on Wednesday 8 July.

“I was absolutely shocked but extremely delighted to be chosen as Miss Hooters Australia” says Caminiti “and I am privileged to be given the opportunity to represent Hooters Australia in Florida, I hope I do a good job representing the Australia and the other Hooters Girls”.

Hooters Cronulla, Hooters Mermaid Beach and Hooters Parramatta join more than 435 locations worldwide in over 24 international countries.  Hooters Australia is scheduled to open restaurants in Perth WA, Brisbane QLD and Auckland New Zealand by the end of 2009.
