Next Generation Email Encryption Software In Beta

Essential Security Software Makes Beta Version of Email Encryption Software Available

Bellevue, Washington (May 22, 2008) – Essential Security Software recently made the beta of eCipher®, the next generation of email encryption software, available to the public.  eCipher protects both business and personal email communications by securely encrypting messages and file attachments.

The beta version of eCipher is currently freely available at:

http://www.ecipher.com

eCipher installs in minutes, and once activated, the user can instantly send secure email through either the email client add-in or the eCipher desktop interface.

eCipher is built upon Essential Security Software’s patented email encryption technology platform.  eCipher adds the ability to deliver secure email and attachments to almost any email client.  eCipher offers additional protections which allow the sender to control unauthorized forwarding, editing, printing, or saving of email communications. eCipher works with most popular email clients, including: MS Outlook™, Thunderbird™, Gmail, AOL, and more.  As an added convenience, eCipher integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook™.

This version of eCipher enables the recipient to read and send encrypted email, protecting both the email messages and attachments. This provides businesses and individuals with the capability to easily exchange secure communications.  eCipher is perfectly suited for industries where secure communications are critical, such as email communications with legal counsel, medical practitioners, financial counselors, partners and colleagues.  The current beta version does not support encryption from multiple email accounts; this feature is currently in development.

eCipher offers RSA 2048 bit and AES 256 encryption, user ID verification and additional usage protections to ensure that e-mails containing sensitive business and client information comply with HIPAA, SOX and other data safeguard legislation.
