The Roost is a new accessory for modern homeowners, which offers a secure, functional home for wrens and bluebirds. Hepper designer, Jed Crystal, created the Roost using aluminum with an anodized finish, which will never rust or fade.
“Designing the Roost was an exploration of new materials and construction techniques for a birdhouse”, Crystal says of his creative process.
The Roost is outfitted with ventilation and drainage holes for optimum bird comfort, and won’t conduct heat because of its aluminum structure. The Roost has a 1 3/8” doorway with an integrated ladder for young birds to use on the way to their first flight. The simple construction of the Roost provides easy access for annual cleanings, and it also locks closed, offering birds and their young security from predators.
