Petaluma, CA – A long-time philanthropist, AABALAT (http://www.aabalat.com)
attended the “Foster A Dream” event in Oakland, CA on May 31, 2008. This annual event helps college-bound foster youth achieve academic success and participate in extra curricular activities by connecting with mentors and awarding $20,000 in scholarships.
“Donating a 30-year anniversary wine was a success, because the final bid went for quite a premium,” stated Bob Orlandi, owner of Aabalat Fine & Rare Wines (
http://www.aabalat.com). Aabalat’
s donation, a 1978 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, auctioned off for more than $250. “It’
s a small contribution, but every little bit counts.”
Entertainment highlights included an exotic animal show, youth performances, vocalists and mentor/mentee testimonies. Guests were allowed to pose with Camilla the Baboon and Storm Troopers.
