Mooresville, Ind. – Saber Research Group was recently commended for its April training of Missouri National Guard soldiers. Saber Research conducted a problem solving and organizational training workshop to the Guard members prior to their stabilization mission in Kosovo.
Saber Research was selected over other companies for its unique training capabilities and close proximity to Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Urban Training Centers.
A general officer was quoted to having said the training the group received prior to the operation was phenomenal and made a difference in their training. “[It was] the best I’ve experienced, anywhere! Skill and teamwork made this happen, way to go.”
Saber COO, Scott Mitten, said the feedback from the company’s program is extremely important and especially heartfelt coming from a fellow veteran.
“We are proud of these soldiers and so happy to receive this kind of acknowledgement,”
“Because of our location between Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Urban Training Centers we have opportunities to assist military organizations with preparation for real world missions.”
While the leaders of these military organizations are trained in the skills they need when they are headed overseas, the skills are perishable. This is where Saber steps in.
“We conduct an empirical set of coaching and mentoring vignettes designed to polish the skills leaders know, but have not used in a while,” Mitten said. “We think of it as a pilot who hasn’t flown in a couple months. He doesn’t need to go back to flight school; he just needs a refresher and a check ride.”
Saber Research has developed multiple training programs for both government and business applications. The day-training programs focus on leadership development through fun outdoor adventures that include Geocaching, Low Stress Survival Training, and military style patrols.
