Red Wings Stanley Cup Champion Shirt
Ann Arbor, MI - Underground Printing, a top national screenprinter, printed thousands of official Detroit Red Wings Championship shirts into the early hours of the morning following the team’s Stanley Cup win. Underground Printing provides screenprinted and embroidered apparel to a wide variety of customers, including Reebok International, for whom the championship shirts were created.
While most screenprinted apparel orders are fulfilled in a few days, events like Detroit’s
recent Stanley Cup victory demand the capacity and skill to rush shirts to a market anxious to join in on the celebration. Engaging in what they call “hot market” printing throughout the night, in just a matter of hours Underground Printing completed almost 15,000 prints. The shirts were quickly dispersed to a network of retailers throughout the region, greeting morning shoppers with t-shirts still warm from the printing process.
The Championship orders came on the heels of the recent achievement of Underground Printing being named one of the largest screenprinters in the nation. Impressions Magazine released its list of the country’s largest printers by volume, with Underground Printing moving up to the top 40 for the first time this year. 2006 marked the first year the company made the list, just outside the top 50.
The company’s growth has been fueled by its national contracts with large retail, non-profit, and corporate customers like Reebok International, Majestic Athletic, and the American Cancer Society, to name a few. Paralleling that growth has been their addition of 7 stores in 4 states, the most recent in Bloomington, IN. Their stores offer high-profile, convenient locations to their regional customers, concentrating on the college markets throughout the Midwest. An aggressive growth strategy calls for 10 more stores to open this year and 30 stores in 2009.
