Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest Organizers and Performers on WPFW 89.3 on Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Washington DC station WPFW 89.3 will interview organizers and artists of this year's Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest to hit Washington DC on Saturday, July 26, 2008.

PRLog (Press Release)Jun 09, 2008 – Keanna Faircloth, host of Pacifica radio station 89.3 WPFW's Midday Jazz show, will interview Liberated Muse Productions (LMP) founders Maceo Thomas and Khadijah Ali-Coleman on Tuesday, June 10, 2008.

LMP is organizing this year's Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest which will take place in Washington DC on Saturday, July 26, 2008.

Vocalists Afi Soul, Mycah Chevalier and Dee Stone--all who are performing during the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest-- will also participate in the interview,  debuting some of their new music on air.

The purpose of WPFW-FM Pacifica is to provide outlets for the creative skills and energies of the community, to contribute to a lasting understanding between individuals of all nations, races, creeds and colors, and to promote the full distribution of public information. Programming on WPFW will principally be a mix of jazz, Third World music, news and public affairs.  WPFW is dedicated to programming which reflects progressive social change and democracy.

The Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest will take place in the Marvin Gaye Park located in the Deanwood community in Washington DC. The festival is free and metro accessible. For more information, visit www.capitalhiphopsoulfest.com.

Liberated Muse Productions (LMP) is an arts-based events planning group based in the Washington DC and Baltimore, MD area. LMP was created in 2007 by writers and community activists Maceo Thomas and Khadijah Ali-Coleman. The intent was to create events promoting artistry and awareness of issues pivotal to urban communities. LMP has become a network of dedicated artists and patrons of the arts. The Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest is an LMP landmark event.
