Edison Chamber of Commerce Names A Taste of Rubies as Best Display at Taste of Middlesex Event

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 09, 2008 – New Brunswick, NJ— A Taste of Rubies was named as Best Visual Display at the Edison Chamber of Commerce’s annual Taste of Middlesex showcase.  The 11th annual event took place on March 31, 2008 and featured eateries from Middlesex County.  There were over 40 food and beverage displays at the event, which was attended by over 550 people.

Launched in 2007, A Taste of Rubies offers a wide range of gourmet cheesecakes, made from a family recipe.  There are 15 different varieties all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The collection of cheesecakes includes a choice of several sizes including 8” cakes, mini cakes, party platters and party favors.

“At A Taste of Rubies, it is our goal that our customers not just experience excellence after tasting one of our cakes,” said Ruby Wesley, President of A Taste of Rubies.  “We want them to experience great customer service, as well.”

A Taste of Rubies was also recently chosen as one of the enterprises with the most potential for business success by the Central Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).  The Emerging Entrepreneur Award was presented at the first S.E.E.D (Supporting Emerging Entrepreneurs’ Development) Conference last October, earning Ms. Wesley a prize package worth $10,000 in business services, including design and printing of marketing materials, Public Relations assistance, a radio advertising package, a virtual office, coaching, accounting help, promotional products, and membership in 5 business organizations.
