The Foundations Literary Awards honor our brightest and most talented authors:

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 06, 2008 – The Foundation Literary Awards celebrate the role of authors, and we are proud to recognize the best. Our communities are better places because of the work honored by these awards. The Chaytor Foundation and the Natalie Bentley Moore (NBM) Foundation are part of the philanthropic arm of the Elsinore Times. The Foundation Literary Awards shine a spotlight on the best and brightest authors.

The Foundations Literary Awards have reaffirmed their commitment to the core values of improving modern literature and free expression. We really do believe we can make a difference, and we strive to apply our available resources accordingly.

Authors: Please e-mail to ElsinoreTimes@gmail.com with your free entry application before June 10. Include the word "award" and the number and name of your book category (see below) in the subject box.
Your book must be submitted by June 10 2008.


The judges will determine the winners based on the following criteria:
1) The story-telling ability of the author.
2) The potential of the work to win wider recognition.
Entries work must have been written after January 1, 2000 and be in English.

Our prizes for the 2008 Chaytor Book Festival Author of the Year include one week complimentary accomodation at the full service Blanket Bay Resort, national publicity, gift certificates, or a publishing contract offer for the top authors.

RULES: Foundations Literary Awards entry applications must be sent by email to ElsinoreTimes@gmail.com. Books must be submitted as attachment efiles in Microsoft word or pdf format--and must be attached to your entry application.

OUR PURPOSE: (1) to spotlight literature worthy of further consideration by the talent-hungry pipeline of the publishing and entertainment industry; and (2) to facilitate getting those works into the proper hands for consideration.

Please classify your book and enter it in the SUBJECT box of your email application according to the following categories with number included. (e.g. 2. for general fiction.)

Your entry must include your book category, and note if your book is being submitted as an attachment with entry application, or later.. by June 10.

NOTIFICATION AND DEADLINES: We will notify each short-listed finalist by email and will announce the winning entries by email and press release. Please note that judges read and consider submissions on an ongoing basis, comparing early entries with later submissions.

The Foundations Literary Awards are produced by the Elsinore Times, and are sponsored by The NBM and Chaytor Foundations. Go beyond ebay and craigslist and enjoy the gift of an award.
