Crescent Ridge Dairy will have collection boxes set up at their Dairy Bars located 403 Bay Road in Sharon and 176 South Franklin Street (Route 37) in Holbrook. Canned goods and other non-perishable food items may be placed in the collection box for delivery to the Greater Boston Food Bank. Crescent Ridge delivery drivers will also collect non-perishable food donations from home delivery customers during that week.
Last year, Crescent Ridge Dairy held two food drives for the Greater Boston Food Bank and collected a phenomenal total of 5,979 pounds of food.
“With today’s economy and a noted rise in the number of people who need assistance from food banks, the need for donations is much greater. Last year’s drives were very successful and we are thankful to all who donated for a great effort towards stamping out hunger on a local level. We’re hoping to top last year’s donations,” noted Mark Parrish, president and third generation of the Parrish family to run Crescent Ridge Dairy.
