Mooresville, Ind. – Saber Research Group has been awarded a contract from the Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence, Indiana University, to conduct a training seminar and experiential knowledge program June 19-20. The seminar will provide hands on leadership training and exercises focused on military applications of leading and problem solving to 16 Hoosier Fellows.
Hoosier Fellows conduct offsite leader development seminars in pursuit of corporate leadership excellence. Under the guidance of Saber Research, Hoosier Fellows will work on improving their leadership skills and practice complex problem solving activities in a two-day period featuring a time constrained military environment and culture.
“This is a unique opportunity to place a military tool in corporate hands,” said Scott Mitten, COO of Saber Research. “We are excited to facilitate a group of such esteemed leaders while they apply a doctrinal problem solving technique toward the solution of a real world problem.”
The 16 Hoosier Fellows will be introduced to a doctrinal problem solving model used by military leaders to identify viable solution sets for problems which range from the simple and ill defined to extremely difficult.
“The Hoosier Fellows will experience life as seen trough the eyes of soldiers training for global Contingency Operations by viewing military convoys, sleeping in field conditions, and eating the same meals as the troops,” Mitten said.
“The Hoosier Fellows will experience many of the technological advances in training used by our mobilized soldiers,” he said. “This particular seminar includes missions in Virtual Convoy Operations and Engagement Skills trainers that employ the latest computer based training technology.”
