June 5, 2008 - PRLog -- New York City Paralegal Association, Inc. (NYCPA), is the only nationally recognized professional paralegal association serving the metropolitan New York area. Incorporated in May 2007, this association has rapidly grown in membership and provides a valuable medium for the progress and professional advancement of all paralegals working within the five boroughs, Westchester and Rockland Counties. We are actively seeking members who are currently employed in the paralegal field as well as students currently pursuing a paralegal studies program.

Our professional association enables entry level and experienced paralegals, in addition to paralegal students to interact with each other as well as to share insightful information and advice that will help to guide and build successful careers. The NYCPA will be providing numerous opportunities for our members to participate in various conferences, networking events, seminars and continuing legal education classes that will enhance their effectiveness as seasoned professionals and allow them to further expand their professional impact at their firms and enhance their opportunities for career advancement.

Our official website located at www.nyc-pa.org is online and contains many valuable resources to our members, including information about upcoming events, general paralegal resources, continuing legal education offerings and invaluable pro-bono opportunities.   The NYC Paralegal Times – our official newsletter is currently in print and can also be accessed via our website. This will be published on a quarterly basis, and will provide information on a number of topics that are important to practicing paralegals. We also encourage our active members to contribute articles or columns that they wish to share with their fellow members.  

The New York City Paralegal Association would like to invite paralegals within your esteemed firm to join. We believe that they will benefit significantly from direct interaction with other experienced professionals within the industry. They will also be able to take advantage of the networking opportunities, valuable career information, and professional support that will promote their professional advancement within their current position, and help to improve the prospects for those seeking more challenging paralegal experiences.
