June 5th is World Environment Day, and people all over the globe are getting educated about their impact on the earth in honor of this United Nations sponsored holiday.  

Started in 1972, this year’s slogan is Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy, emphasizing the importance of reining in energy consumption and green house gas emissions.

Right now, nothing is hotter than going green, but not everyone knows the cool consequences of participating in a low-carbon lifestyle.  Take this quick quiz about greenhouse gas effects and see if your knowledge gets the ‘green’ light!

Don’t worry if the questions left you stumped. The Environmental Protections Agency’s website is full of eye-opening facts for grown-ups looking to expand their environmental education.
