Replace multiple numbers of security cameras, with a single MOBOTIX D12 panorama camera; thereby reducing the total cost of installation. The camera is equipped with a specially designed dual 22mm lens module kit, ensuring high definition resolution and absolute 180˚ panoramic view.
While this dual lens dome IP camera delivers video in progressive scan 2048 x 1536 resolution video, unlike other IP cameras, it does not require a dedicated computer to decode the megapixel video. (It is important to note that megapixel cameras using the MPEG4 codec require immense computational power to decode the image, particularly in the high resolution range).
The MOBOTIX cameras decode the video internally, meaning very little computational power is required, allowing recording directly to attached storage devices, such as NAS. This is a further saving on the cost of the installation.
Because of its IP65 rating, the MOBOTIX IP camera is a true PoE camera, as no separate power source is required for outdoor enclosures and climate systems. The MOBOTIX D12 panorama camera can withstand temperatures from -30˚C to 60˚C (-22˚F to 140˚F) and is impervious to dust, rain and salt air.
The D12 is compatible with ratified standards of PoE. The camera's power consumption is an incredibly low 2W.
