Cast Your Anchor, Canada’s only nautical hobby store specializing in ship models has attended the Toronto Hobby Show for the past 5 years. Although a lot of work, we have always enjoyed seeing our friends and customers during the weekend show. Over the past 5 years Cast Your Anchor evolved from a 100 square foot display area to 500 square feet. We started off with a few tables and a display rack to ships masts as props, a pirate theme and a video display. Our most popular hand out was the pirate flags especially when the pirates were there to meet and greet everyone that came to our booth.
This event was the only one of it’s kind in Canada. It drew people from all over and many people came year after year to see what was new and have an opportunity to talk to all of the vendors. We would like to wish the new owners of the Hobby Show all the best in the future and look forward to participating in the show in 2009.
