Solar Powered Ipod Speakers Take The Hassle Out Of Music On The Move

There’s no longer any need to worry about batteries or power cables when you take your iPod or MP3 player travelling with you as minispeakers.co.uk launches a fully solar-powered travel speaker and charger system for less than £100.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jun 03, 2008 – There’s no longer any need to worry about batteries or power cables when you take your iPod or MP3 player travelling with you as minispeakers.co.uk launches a fully solar-powered travel speaker and charger system for less than £100.

The K3000ST Solar is a robust, high quality travel speaker perfect for iPods and a wide range of other digital devices – already recognised with an editor’s choice award from Macworld Magazine - which can now be powered completely by solar power, as well as by mains and battery. The docking speaker system, which offers  2 x 1.8 watt of power output, measures just 123.6 mm wide x 48.6 mm high x 48 mm deep and weighs in at 420 grams. And, using a bracket supplied, an iPhone or an iTouch can be horizontally mounted to make watching movies easier.

This means that if you’re lying on a beautiful beach or relaxing by a swimming pool, with no mains supply or batteries, your music can continue by simply plugging in the solar charger. The charger itself can be attached to a rucksack, hung from a window, left in a car window or taken anywhere the sun shines to let you enjoy your music wherever or whenever you wish.

The solar speaker pack, which is provided in a rugged zip-up carrying case, includes the speaker, robust flip-up solar charger and universal main adaptor for use anywhere in the world. When used with the solar charger, no batteries are required and the iPod will charge as it plays when attached to the docking station. The solar charger has already been separately recommended by Which? Magazine and rated as a five star ‘best buy’ by The Sunday Times.

Both the speaker and the solar charger are approved for use under the Apple “Made for iPod” programme.

The solar pack retails at £95 plus p&p and can be ordered direct from www.minispeakers.co.uk or by telephone at 0870 97 99 600.

Ends.
