A meeting will be held at Skyridge Elementary School to go over the design and details of Grass Valley Elementary. This meeting will be an open house style and anyone is welcome that would like to participate. The meeting will occur at 6pm on June 2nd, and weather permitting, a walking tour of the school site will also be a part of the presentation and will take place around 7:00 PM.
The new school will begin construction in July, 2008 in Lacamas Meadows and is due to be completed in September of 2009. The school will house grades K-5 and will be able to comfortably accomodate 600 students. This 10 acre site was actually a neighborhood project. The City of Camas and Camas School District worked with neighboring communities on a committe to make sure and include their perspective. It was important to everyone that the school be designed to make the best fit possible.
Talbitzer Homes is very excited about this addition to the Lacamas Meadows community. We feel that this is a benefit to the people who live in the community of Lacamas Meadows and have young children. Anyone, especially our parents can appreciate the convenience and safety of having their child's school so close to home.
