Jan Telensky, Managing Director RTI, said, “May I first start by congratulating Nicola on winning the 2008 Favourite Programme on RTI, Nicola is our newest DJ and she has demonstrated how a modern interactive radio presenter should be.
“This result also clearly shows that younger, or younger in the mind, Slovak listeners are very keen to embrace the program selection on offer from RTI as well as citizens from all over Europe and beyond.
“Premier Robert Fico once said that the Slovak Republic needed to have a big voice in Europe and now Slovakia has one – RTI. However, RTI is also a service that embraces all European citizens wherever they may be.
“RTI has pioneered the way for bi-lingual radio across Europe and added another dimension to interactive radio. This can clearly be seen with over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND visitors to the RTI YouTube channel which is lead by Slovak citizens followed by Polish, Czech, English and German visitors.”
Eric Wiltsher, Program Director, added, “ I would like to add my congratulations to Nicola and say that all the presenters on RTI are true winners – they have made RTI and clearly shown audiences around the world are not different.
“If a radio offers positive programming the listenership will continue to grow, offer extra services as RTI does and the audience will grow across continents.”
The voting for Favourite show on RTI 2008 ended 01 June 2008 and ran for two months.
The next poll on RTI will center on central European and Europe wide music.
