Dayton Ohio Photographer to release travel book about Savannah, Ga

PR Log (Press Release) – Jun 01, 2008 – Local Professional Photographer John Johnston of Dayton Ohio is due to release his book, "Walking Savannah and Beyond" in mid to late 2009. John having worked for business's, PR firms, and magazine publishers in Ohio, New York and multiple cities throughout the United States decided it was time to put his adventures in travel to book form.

It's not written in stone yet, says Mr. Johnston, but there is a possibility that National Geographic Books will pick up the publishing rights to what others that have had the chance to preview some of his photography and writings say will be a travel book on Savannah,GA like no other.

I didn't want this book to be like every travel book or guide that I've seen says John, they always say the same thing, "go here see this" I want all of my upcoming publications to have that "Since of Place".

Being taught by Steve McCurry and Bob Krist of National Geographic was one of the best moves that I could have made in my career as a professional photographer says John. They instilled in me that just going out and taking pretty pictures isn't enough, the photo has to speak to reader, and the reader has to know that he or she is there or wants to be there.
