FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Jun 01, 2008 – NW Working Dogs announced today that it will be adding drug detection to it's list of offerings at the 2008 Expo.  Arrangements have been made for Elite K9 Systems and the American Council on Criminal Justice Training (ACCJT) to come to the expo.  Together they will be doing Drug Detection demonstrations for the public.  In addition, they will offer drug dog testing and certification for those dogs who are ready to certify in a wide range of illegal substances.

"We are very excited to have Elite and the ACCJT do the demos and testing at our event.  This is a perfect compliment to the activities we are already offering.", says Virginia Dunn, the head of NW Working Dogs.  "Our event is unique.  It brings together working and personal protection, conformation, and temperament testing.  There is nothing else like it on the West Coast.  The addition of the drug detection component really enhances our overall program."

The NW Working Dogs Expo is being held on June 14th & 15th at the Columbia County Fairgrounds in St. Helens, OR.  It is open to the public as well as all breeds - purebred and mixed.  Activites include the K9 Pro Sports NW Regional Trials, NCA Conformation Shows, ATTS Temperament Testing, Canine Good Citizen Testing, Decoy Certification Trials, and a Raffle For Rescue.  The complete list of activities can be found at http://www.nwworkingdogs.com

"This event is very exciting and just a whole lot of fun!", says Dunn.  "I'm sure the drug detection demonstrations will be a real crowd pleaser!  Hopefully it may even encourage some folks to start training their dog in detection work."

You can learn more about this event at:  http://www.nwworkingdogs.com  You can also sign up online for the many competitions and activities available at this expo.
