The accident caused some traffic congestion as Department of Public Safety troopers and Central Volunteer emergency crews worked to secure the scene. DPS Trooper Wood, who worked the accident explained one vehicle was headed north on 69 and was in the turn lane. Another car was going south and the driver apparently lost control and struck the car in the turn lane. The driver headed south was taken to the hospital and is now listed in stable condition. The driver of the car in the turn lane did not have any injuries. Troopers aren't sure why the driver lost control.
