WILMINGTON, DELAWARE: Mr. Steve Rowland, President, of Iplus Digital, has fanned the flames of dissent by declaring Dreamhost’s use of Google mail as being at odds with their customers best interests.
The amount of sensitive digital information and data which is regularly transmitted through email precludes it from being accessed or stored with any third party company, especially one that possesses such diverse business interests as Google. Privacy and the electronic frontier are serious concerns for entrepreneurs today and the security of that information is a major consideration when selecting a web hosting firm.
Iplus Digital recently reviewed various options relating to our service provision and in particular the outsourcing of email services. Ultimately, after a thorough analysis, it was determined that it was not in the best interests of our client’s to outsource, what is essentially a critical function to their online presence.
“The security and reliability of our services is something that I have always taken seriously and that is why I am shocked at the recent direction Dreamhost has chosen to take. The provision of mass email services is a costly part of any providers support budget but to encourage the outsourcing of that service to a third party is simply not a viable solution” Says Mr. Steve Rowland.
