FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
May 29, 2008 – Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is preparing to offer a post-graduate Doctoral program. The University’s Board of Trustees has approved this initiative to offer post-graduate studies. The school’s administrative team will expand to meet the needs of the new program in Chinese medicine.
Through the Doctoral Program, acupuncture practitioners will be able to extend their educational studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The program will provide opportunity for licensed acupuncturists to focus and specialize in different areas of complementary medicine expertise such as oncology, reproductive medicine, anti-aging, and prepare practitioners for a career in integrative medicine. To ensure the success of this initiative, Yo San University is fortunate to be adding a member to our team who will lead us in implementing the Doctoral Program. Dr. Teri Powers will be joining us in early June as the Doctoral Program Director. Teri comes to Yo San University not only well-qualified to organize and lead the program, but she is also energetic, vivacious, and, like all of us, shares a passion for this medicine! Yo San University welcomes Teri to Yo San University. We are excited about the many benefits and opportunities that the Doctoral Program will bring to our students, alumni, faculty, and especially the patients who will benefit from this expanded education and specialization. Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1989 by Dr. Maoshing Ni and Dr. Daoshing Ni with the purpose of bringing the best practices of Eastern medicine to Western society. Yo San University is accredited by ACAOM, the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Yo San University offers a Master’s program in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine and operates a community clinic at its campus in Los Angeles, California.
