Gifts on a Mission is about 'Giving a hand up, not a hand out'. It's about Opportunity...the opportunity for you to purchase handcrafted, unique and beautiful items...The opportunity for craftspeople in developing countries to help themselves...The opportunity we give to children when our profits and your donations contribute to their future.
Gifts on a Mission has two main goals:
1. To give opportunity to people in impoverished conditions by buying their products and bringing them to you. In addition, at times we are able to assist the craftspeople with training, organization or working capital for their business.
2. From the profits of this business and your contributions, the second goal is to give opportunity to disadvantaged children from these countries. This could involve building schools, helping with school fees, assisting or building orphanages or any project that helps give a child opportunity for a future.
