BEND, Ore. – May 28, 2008 – G5 Search Marketing and Wahoo Films today announced a partnership to offer Webspots, making Wahoo the first video production partner in a planned nationwide rollout of the virtual conversation starters. A Webspot is a mini-website with short video clips in which professionals answer frequently asked questions on-demand. Each webspot is optimized for search engines.

Webspots are particularly effective for professionals - such as Realtors, Health Care Professionals and Job-seekers - whose business depends primarily on personal connections. Examples of Webspots can be seen at www.michellealvarado.com and www.g5webspot.com.

"As businesses move more and more to the web, making a face-to-face connection has become increasingly difficult," said Dan Hobin, CEO of G5 Search Marketing in Bend. "With parties in varied geographic locations, in-person meetings are now time consuming and costly. Webspots can make it easier to land that next client or job."

Connecting with clients, customers or potential employers with online video is increasingly important to stay at the forefront of business. According to ClickZ.com, over 25 percent of consumers said they regularly watch videos online. Top video aggregators such as YouTube send out millions of streaming videos every day. What sets Webspots apart from just any video on the Internet, though, is the personal and friendly nature of the platform and its optimization for search engines such as Google.

"If someone recommends an attorney to me, I'm probably going to Google that person to find out if they have a website or if there are any news articles about them online,” said Michelle Alvarado of Wahoo Films. “If they've got a Webspot, that's going to show up right away, giving me a chance to see them, hear their voice, and get a feel for their personality. I'm much more likely to connect with that person through video than by reading a lot of text on a FAQ page."

Webspots employ Search Engine Optimization techniques to ensure they rank high in search results. Posting a video on Google or YouTube also increases traffic to a company's website through Universal Search – a Google algorithm which ranks not just web sites but also video and images - placing more emphasis on video in its results.

“We believe Webspots are a perfect way to reach out to clients on both a local and national level,” said Hobin. “By taking advantage of the rise of video on the Internet and using a Webspot as a virtual business card, the local business owner is able to compete on a much grander scale without breaking the bank to do it.”

Webspot packages include a domain name, video production, website design and uploading, click-to-contact options, basic Google analytics reporting tools and Beta-hosting for one year. Additionally, award-winning filmmaking expertise is included with each Webspot taping session, which take about 30 minutes to complete. Webspots can be filmed, uploaded and available to the general public in as little as three business days.

Clients can write their own script and bio for a "do-it-yourself" package ($595), or they can work with Wahoo Films to develop a professional bio and on-camera script that feels natural and professional ($895). More-Than-One Corporate Packages are also available ($1175, plus $550 for each additional person). Wahoo and G5's streamlined, professional process means an average time commitment of only two to three hours for each Webspot.
