Grand Finale to the “32nd Vintage Car Concours”

       The ceremony for announcement of results and prize giving of “The Glossy Heritage Awards 2008” in the “32nd Vintage Car Concours” took place on Friday 23 May, 2008 at Royal Paragon Hall on the 5th Level of Siam Paragon Shopping Center, presided over by Dr. Surakiart Sathienthai, former Deputy Prime Minister.

Mr. Kwanchai Paphatphong, President of Vintage Car Club of Thailand, said,”The Club is thankful to every Member who appreciates and attaches importance to vintage car restoration, and also to the large number of visitors who have shown interest and enquired about taking up restoration work, making the Concours this year an overwhelming success, encouraging us to continue hosting the Concours and developing it even more up to international level”.

    Mr. Vicharn Rastpana, Executive Member responsible for Activities, Vintage Car Club of Thailand, revealed, “30% more cars were entered by new members in the Concours this year. Each car had been so well restored, showing off beauty and perfection in all contest criteria—paintwork, tyres, upholstery, engine condition, etc. The panel of more than 10 judges had to inspect and give marks to cars in each category very carefully”.

     ”The Concours this year has also attracted interest from personalities in diverse fields such as Ken Teeradej Wongpuapan, Mr. Prajin Eamlumnow, Mr. Noppadol Thammawattana, etc. who all entered their cars in the contest.”
