NAFA Hands Out 5th Excellence in Education Award

PRLog (Press Release) – May 27, 2008 – Several years ago, NAFA Fleet Management Association established its "Excellence in Education Award" to honor someone who has gone above and beyond to help the Association enhance its educational offerings.  The award is not handed out annually, but given based on worthiness and timely recognition.  On Monday, May 5, 2008, Matt Betz, Vice President, National Account Sales, AmeriFleet Transportation, became the fifth recipient of the award when he was honored at NAFA's 2008 Institute & Expo in Salt Lake City during the CAFM Recognition Breakfast.

"This gentleman has shown a commitment to fleet management for more than 16 years as a volunteer leader on both the chapter and national levels," said NAFA Senior Vice President Chris Amos, CAFM.  "He has led NAFA seminars, conducted sessions at numerous industry conferences, including this one, and led numerous chapter educational meetings. He has enriched literally thousands of fleet managers over the years."

"Betz has been the driving force behind several of NAFA's learning initiatives," Amos added. "He is the consummate professional and proudly represents NAFA everywhere he goes – and always in the best light. He is excellence in education!"

The Excellence in Education Award is given by NAFA for continued exceptional contributions to fleet management education, specifically NAFA education product and program initiation, development and delivery. Previous winners include Christopher D. Amos, CAFM; Linda R. Carlton, CAFM; Ruth Alfson, CAFM; and Walter Burnett, CAFM.
