Weller WD1002T
WILMINGTON, NC – Weller, a division of Cooper Hand Tools, has announced an upgrade to one of their more popular stations and the result is the WD1002T soldering station.
Weller’s WD1002T features popular Weller products such as the WD1 control unit and WP80 soldering iron. The WD1 power unit and WD2 power unit as well as the WRS rework stations are compatible with the WP80 soldering iron, which speaks for the iron’s reliability. This ESD-safe iron features 80 watts of power and is perfect for lead-free soldering.
The WD1 control unit features three programmable preset buttons within the unit’s temperature range which is 150°F to 850°F. The WD1 also boasts a special function menu and a high contrast LCD display.
Upgrades to the station include the WDH10T Stop+Go safety stand. This stand extends the life of your tips by returning the iron to its set back temperature when the iron is placed in the stand. It also returns the iron to its specified operating temperature when it is taken off the stand.
Another addition to the WD1002T is the WDC2 dry tip cleaner. This tip cleaner was added to the WDH10T to save space while helping to extend the life of your tips. The WDC2 reduces surface oxide build up which in turn, maintains the thermal capabilities of the tip.
