“In our greatest trials are our greatest learning,” says author Darlene Montgomery of the series Conscious Women Conscious Lives. Although we would like to think that we grow most when life is easy, it is seldom so. Most often, we need adversity to grow. Just as astronauts in space suffer muscle tone loss from lack of gravitational pull, we as human beings lose our momentum when we have nothing to resist.
And so in our greatest lessons are opportunities to grow as human beings. Adversity can lead to patience, poverty to greater gratitude, hardship tenacity, loss can teach appreciation, but getting to the awareness and understand of these lessons is what makes Darlene Montgomery unique. For many years she had been teaching others how to see life as a journey and that hidden in events are meaningful lessons and symbols. Even a movie can teach us important life lessons or a book that we read says Montgomery who works with her own dreams both waking and sleeping. We can see our life as a dream by looking at events as symbolic messages and at events which occur however strange or difficult as meaningful occurrences.
