(London) - An exhibition of new paintings by acclaimed artist Dan Schlesinger will be held on June 15, 2008 at the artist’s studio in Richmond, Surrey. The show is an opportunity to see the artist’s latest work in oil paints and pastels.
In his most recent series of paintings, Schlesinger builds on his spectacularly successful treatment of the Tuscan landscape, with canvases inspired by Venice’s aquatic aspect. “Collectors have responded enthusiastically to Dan’s highly imaginative treatment of a traditional subject,” reports Ayli Lapkoff, Schlesinger’
s agent. The new Venetian compositions, with their surprising use of colour and heavy layering of pigment, represent some of the artist’s most audacious work to date.

s work will also be pleased to see the artist’s creative development continue to unfold in response to the tremendous natural beauty of nearby Richmond Park. The summer show includes a selection of oil paintings of its flora and fauna in warm blue, green and gold hues. Says Schlesinger, “Richmond is at its most evocative during the summer. I can’t resist trying to capture and preserve that beauty.”
