Earthquake in California Driving hits FasTrak Market. Drivers are all doing better!

After years of California Drivers struggling between the convenience of using FasTrak and the unsightliness of the transponder in their car's windshield, drivers now have the best of both worlds. Baseball fans can cover their FasTrak with an MLB Logo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)May 20, 2008 – Highway Image, http://www.highwayimage.com/, realized that people had some strong opinions regarding electronic tolling.

The first was that almost all drivers loved the way the FasTrak worked. They enjoyed the Convenience of zipping through the tollbooths without stopping and the Safety of not swerving in lanes as they approached the tollbooth while looking around for tokens and loose change. Safety and Convenience what's not to love?

It turns out that the "what's not to love" was the way that little transponders looked in their car's windshield. All this Safety and Convenience was coming at a steep price in some California drivers' opinion. The cost was Vanity in the form of an "Ugly White Spot" or UWS caused by the FasTrak transponder in their car's windshield.

Highway Image realized something had to be done. It actually turns out that some 40% of DRIVERS DO NOT AFFIX THEIR TOLLING TRANSPONDERS to the windshield of their car either for fear of it being stolen or the WAY IT LOOKS in the windshield of their car.

That means that somewhere around 20% of people with FasTrak aren't getting the most from their FasTrak because they don't like the way it looks. They give up some of the Convenience because they are fishing around for their transponder as they approach the tollbooth and they are also giving up some of the Safety for the same reasons. More than half of accidents on tollways occur around tollbooths.

The ground is shaking under the FasTrak market as Highway Image is now offering a wide variety of images including the just introduced Major League Baseball team logos at http://www.highwayimage.com/baseball.htm. Now drivers can have their cake and eat it too. Say goodbye to the UWS, ugly white spot, and say hello to an image of your choice.

Other popular images include the American Flag and other patriotic symbols, a choice of Non-profit groups, a selection of college logos at http://www.highwayimage.com/ncaa.htm, the twelve Astrological Signs, Charlie Brown and Peanuts Gang. More Images are added on an ongoing basis. Expect to see the NFL added shortly along with other professional sports teams.

Highway Image is an innovative company whose idea impacts the way the E-ZPass® (Registered Trademark of E-Zpass Interagency Group) I-Pass, I-Zoom, Fast Lane, E-470, SunPass and weigh station and tolling with PrePass® and PrePassPlus® look in a car windshield. Our goal is to do something about "that ugly white spot" of the transponder on your windshield.
