May 19, 2008 – Freelance website developer, Michelle Koumarianos, and graphic designer, Mel Smith, have recently created a non-profit flash arcade games charity site called Gaming For Charity.org. The website has been live since April and has greatly increased in popularly since then.
The New Jersey-based site currently has over 2,400 flash games and donates to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, United Nations World Food Programme, and the Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
Every game played donates money to the above organizations thanks to numerous sponsors that display ads below each game. Users can also donate to the Gaming For Charity.org website through their donation page or donate directly to the organizations they support. All profit made from the sale of merchandise in the Gaming For Charity.org store also donates to the organizations.
