FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)May 19, 2008 – Hello –

Additional product photos are available to accompany the announcement below from FOR-A regarding its participation at this year’s InfoComm convention. Attached is a screen shot from the new MPB-100VW Video Writer to accompany the news. Please let me know if you require additional images.

Also, please get in touch if you’d like to arrange for an in-booth meeting with FOR-A execs during InfoComm. FOR-A will be exhibiting in both #C2316 at InfoComm.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

FOR-A Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, will introduce the latest member of its MV series, the MV-1610HS 16-channel, multi-viewer, the HVS-650HS switcher and the MPB-100VW Video Writer for the first time at InfoComm 2008 in Las Vegas from June 18-20, 2008 (Booth #C2316).

First shown at NAB2008 in April, the MPB-100VW Video Writer features a telestrator that responds to a finger’s touch. The Video Writer allows a user to draw and point with a finger through an optional touch panel in real-time over HD/SD-SDI video in real-time. It has pre-programmed graphic shapes for ease of use, but can also process straight line and free-hand drawings as well. The Video Writer creates an array of lines that vary in color, edge width and thickness. Drawn objects can be moved, copied or deleted as needed during demonstrations.

The MV-1610HS, also introduced at NAB2008, supports mixed input of HD-SDI, SD-SDI and analog composite signals. High-resolution video output using a DVI terminal is included as standard. Support is also provided for user-created patterns and video transfer over a LAN connection.

The viewer can be set to divide the screen in many ways, enabling the combination of small and large images. It also includes a layout editor which allows the user to make any changes to split-screen patterns from a computer.

A DVI output is available, which is well-suited for displays on large-sized screens. The layout software offers total flexibility to users to size and position any of the 16 inputs.

“FOR-A’s MV series of multi-viewers offer affordable monitoring solutions for the professional A/V market,” said Mr. Susumu Hotta, President of FOR-A Corporation of America. “The MV-1610HS provides support for both HD/SD-SDI and analog composite inputs simultaneously and high-quality UXGA and DVI output.”

Key features of the MV-1610HS include:

Mixed input of analog composite, SD-SDI, and HD-SDI signals supported

Mixed frame rate support (ex. 1080/50i and 1080/59.94i, NTSC and PAL...)

4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio supported

HD/SD-SDI input embedded audio (eight channels) level display function

DVI-I (1920 x 1200) high resolution output as a standard

Positioning of input images in any division frames enabled

Video loss detection

Tally and title displays

Network video transfer function: LAN interface provided as standard for enabling transfer of output video over the network

The MV-1610HS multi-viewer will be available in August of this year.

First introduced at NAB in April, the HVS-650HS switcher makes its InfoComm debut as well. The HVS-650HS is an HD/SD compatible switcher that features the same ease of operation and powerful features of FOR-A’s popular HVS-600HS compact HD/SD switcher, introduced at last year’s NAB. FOR-A developed the HVS-650HS in response to demand for likewise a larger model switcher that offered the main unit and operation unit separately. The main frame size of the HVS-650HS is a compact 2RU.

The HVS-650HS can switch between HD or SD formats and supports various HD formats such as: 1080/60i, 59.94i, 50i, 24p, 24PsF, 23.98PsF, 720/60p, 59.94p, 50p as well as SD formats of 525/60 (NTSC) and 625/50 (PAL).

The HVS-650HS includes a wide array of effects and functions, such as: picture in picture, two still stores, and a downstream keyer (DSK) with chroma key and event memory that stores data for up to 100 events and setting conditions. The picture-in-picture function comes standard. Users can build composites with up to two reduced-size screens without using DVEs. DVE can be added as an option.

The HVS-650HS switcher has both digital and analog input and output boards available. Ten different configurations with several hundred variations of signal I/O formats are possible. The HVS-650HS enables users to find the optimal I/O configuration in virtually any operating environment.

The HVS-650HS switcher will begin shipping in August of this year.

Also being shown at InfoComm, FOR-A’s FA-9100 HD/SD, the latest version of FA Series Model super signal processor, the HVS-500HS HANABI 1 M/E switcher and the MV-410HS multi-viewer.
