Tampa Area Jiffy Lube® Service Centers Donate More Than $21,000 To Local Aha Chapter

PR Log (Press Release) – May 19, 2008 – Tampa, Fla. ― Today, Jiffy Lube service centers in the Tampa & St. Petersburg area announced they raised $21,834 for the local chapter of the American Heart Association to support the Go Red For Women movement.  More than 1,750 Jiffy Lube service centers nationwide participated in the Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life campaign, which raised awareness and funds for heart disease prevention during February and March.

The Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life campaign leverages the strong parallels between properly maintaining both heart health and vehicle health, and educates people on smart preventive maintenance of their bodies and vehicles.  The campaign raised $1,034,757 nationally for heart disease – the number one killer of women and men in the United States.  

The campaign raised funds through Maintenance Partners for Life savings books that were given to customers in appreciation for a $3 donation.  The savings books offer $100 in savings on Jiffy Lube preventive maintenance services, as well as heart-healthy recipes and lifestyle tips.  Jiffy Lube distributed more than 300,000 savings books nationally throughout the promotion, resulting in more than $1 million raised in total for the Go Red For Women movement.  All money raised was donated to local chapters of the AHA.
